A Seasonal Court Installation
An art object rooted in the refined symbolism of the Heian court.
This sculptural pair expresses balance, virtue, and enduring harmony through silk, light, and pattern. Each colour has been composed to support the next — depth emerging gradually as illumination shifts across the surface.
Created for collectors who live with meaning.
The Emperor — Phoenix Among Paulownia
The robe bears the Kirichiku Hōō motif: the phoenix appearing only in times of peace and enlightened rule. Paulownia, long associated with imperial authority, anchors the composition in court tradition.
The silk evokes the ancient Kikujin dye aesthetic — a light-responsive tone that moves between grey, violet, and subtle green. Its surface is not static; it transforms throughout the day.
Material: 100% silk
The Empress — Facing Cranes in Rising Clouds
Layered robes combine ascending clouds and paired cranes — classical emblems of elevation, longevity, and harmonious union.
Soft peach tones are structured by traditional Heian pattern geometry, balancing delicacy with strength.
- Outer robe: Silk / Polyester blend
- Inner robe: 100% silk
The Sakura Expression
A composed face with the faintest suggestion of a smile.
Hand-layered pigments create subtle gradation and depth, offering warmth without excess.
